Alexandra & Alex’s late summer wedding combined the timeless setting of St Mark’s Church on the Englefield Estate with an intimate reception at Alexandra’s family home in Berkshire.  The day moved effortlessly between the two locations, with a soft, seasonal palette and generous florals creating a sense of quiet elegance throughout.

Guests arrived at St Mark’s to a striking floral arch designed by Fig & Flower, where airy smoke bush was layered with hydrangeas and delicate spray roses.  Generous in both scale and shape, the design framed the entrance beautifully, softening the stone backdrop while allowing the architecture of the church to remain the focus.  The palette of soft whites, blush tones, burgundy and fresh greens felt perfectly in keeping with the surroundings, setting the tone for the celebration to come.

After the ceremony, guests travelled to Alexandra’s family home where the gardens had been transformed for the reception.  Drinks and canapés were served outside, alongside pavlovas topped with fresh seasonal fruit, before everyone moved into a sage green–draped marquee set within the grounds.

Inside, the styling echoed the landscape beyond.  Soft fabric draping created a layered canopy overhead, bringing warmth and movement to the space, while the tables were cohesively styled with abundant meadow arrangements, tapered candlelight and understated details that kept the look natural and refined.  The overall effect felt elegant yet relaxed — a setting designed for a long summer evening of conversation, dining and celebration.

Dancing followed beneath the crystal chandeliers as a DJ Live band kept the dance floor full well into the night — a fitting end to a day that felt both timeless and deeply personal.
